Blue Star Music Camps is a fun camp for musically inclined boys and girls ages 13-18. The first 2 one week camps are held at The San Anselmo Playhouse, at 27 Kensington Rd. in San Anselmo, CA. The camps are Monday thru Friday 10am-3pm each day with a live performance Friday night of each week (except the Recording Week) at The Playhouse Theater. The curriculum includes Guitar, Bass, Keyboards, Drums, Vocals, Percussion, Stagecraft and Stage Presence. The format is performance driven and creatively oriented. This is truly a unique musical experience for talented young singers and players. The kids create their own show, interact with other musicians and teachers, then perform for the public on stage at a Friday night show. The third week is a dedicated Recording Sessions Week at a major Bay Area recording studio for the most accomplished students. The faculty is made up of all long time touring pros.
Blue Star Music Camps offers young people an environment to explore self-expression, develop a musical skill and gain confidence through setting and achieving goals. In addition to exposing youths to the world of cultural arts, we hope to help them recognize and pursue career options in the music industry, build upon their sense of personal worth and create an outlet for their creativity, their energy and their abilities.
